Server at The Print Shop Restaurant

At The Print Shop Restaurant we focus on Community and Relationship. As a server you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Your friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service:

- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude in a timely manner.

- Assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations when requested.

- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.

- Check in with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their meals and address any concerns promptly.

- Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints courteously and professionally.

2. Order Accuracy and Timing:

- Ensure all orders are accurate and complete before delivering to the table.

- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service.

- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately to the correct table.

3. Knowledge and Compliance:

- Stay informed about menu items, including daily specials and beverage offerings.

- Comply with all safety, health, and food safety regulations.

- Adhere to alcohol service regulations and verify the legal drinking age of guests when serving alcoholic beverages.

4. Table Maintenance:

- Set and reset tables according to restaurant standards.

- Keep dining areas clean and well-maintained throughout the shift.

5. Billing and Payments:

- Accurately present checks and handle payments, including cash, credit cards, and digital payment methods.

6. Upselling and Suggestive Selling:

- Promote additional menu items, desserts, and beverages to increase sales.

- Encourage guests to join loyalty programs or subscribe to newsletters if applicable.

7. Teamwork:

- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.

- Assist fellow servers during busy periods.

- Support a positive and cohesive team environment.

8. Cleanliness and Organization:

- Keep the server station, service areas, and workstations clean and organized.

- Restock supplies as needed.

- Perform all closing job duties

- Follow all restaurant policy and procedures

9. Knowledge of Facility Layout:

- Familiarize yourself with the layout of the two-story restaurant and bar to assist guests in finding their way.

Qualifications:

-Must have a Valid ABC Permit or be able to obtain one within 30 days of being hired.

- Previous serving experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays up stairs for extended periods.

- Ability to carry 50 lbs up and down stairs.

- Knowledge of food and beverage menus.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Able to work weekends and holidays.

- Team player with a positive attitude.
