CNC Operator / Machinist
Operation: Operate CNC machines to perform machining operations, such as milling, turning, drilling, and cutting, as required by the production schedule. Monitor the machines during operation to ensure they are functioning correctly and adjusting as needed.
Material Inspection: Inspect and measure raw materials and finished parts using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks on CNC machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged tooling. Report any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance department for repair.
Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of produced parts. Adjust machine settings as necessary to meet quality standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate production and quality records, including material usage, machine time, and any incidents or defects encountered during the machining process.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors promptly.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to optimize machine performance, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
High school diploma or equivalent. Advanced certifications preferred.
At least three to five years" experience operating CNC machine,
Basic understanding of CNC operation and G-code.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control processes.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality output.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials when required.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow all safety and regulatory requirements.
