- High School diploma or equivalent certificate, or equivalent related work experience.
- Electrical/electronic manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in soldering and/or wire harness assembly.
- Ability to use assembly procedures where interpretation may be required.
- Complete minor sub-assemblies and major assemblies used in mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Adhere to company handbook and all other departmental rules and regulations including procedures relating to safety.
- Maintain assembly equipment and tooling in proper order; maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Meet performance requirements regarding attendance, productivity, quality and understanding.
- High overall capability level. Able to understand and assist with changes in processes and assignments. Demonstrates initiative.
- Accepts responsibility for actions and work performed. Maintains an overall positive attitude, and helps to advance goals of the department.
- Listens to and accepts direction; communicates well with fellow associates and supervisor; helps to maintain process control and trains new assemblers.
- Functions well in a work team environment. Uses knowledge and background to guide and assist fellow crew members.
- Recognizes and foresees potential problems, or breaks in procedure. Demonstrates the basic ability to react to arising problems, takes proper corrective action(s) and communicates these issues to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Work Environment: Typical manufacturing environment for our in house work. Ability to work in a factory environment including high and confined spaces.
- Physical Effort: Ability to work extended hours as needed, to lift up to 60 lbs. (27.2kg), to stand for long periods of time, and to climb stairs/ladders. Hand and wrist dexterity sufficient to do precision work.
- Mental Effort: Mental capacity sufficient for strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction of a semi-routine nature.
- Communication: Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with customers and coworkers.
- Sensory Abilities: Visual acuity sufficient to check work for quality and accuracy as well as the ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
