Senior NOC Engineer
Atlanta, GA - Hybrid
W2 only - no C2C
12 month contract renewals
Synergis’ client, on7e of the nation’s premier transportation companies, has engaged us in a search for a Senior Network Operations Center Engineer. The Engineer will be responsible for the day to day support of the Data, VOIP, and Signals running across the Network. The selected candidate will be expected to analyze complicated systems, document application standards, and assure high levels of stability, reliability, and availability of the production network environment, consistent with established change control policies and prescribed procedures. He or She will be expected to work anytime that the need arises. This is a 24/7 Operations center with rotating shifts every two months.
Senior NOC Engineer Background and Scope
- Day to day support of the Data, VOIP, and Signals running across the Data Network.
- Analyze complicated systems, and assure high levels of stability, reliability, and availability of the production network environment, consistent with established change control policies and prescribed procedures
- Work anytime that the need arises.
Senior NOC Engineer Requirements
- 4-yr Degree desired, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 5 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting network equipment including:
- Routers and Switches
- ASA Firewalls
- Mobility, 802.11 (Cisco hardware experience preferred)
- MPLS WAN, Multicast, AAA, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, T1/DS1, TCP/IP, VLANs. DNS, DHCP, using SSH to connect to equipment.
- Network Management Systems such as Microfocus NNMI, NetScout, Bradford, Infoblox.
- Familiarity with Cisco router / switch / security network management products and platforms.
- Experience using network tools such as NetScout and HP Network Node Manager.
- Experience with issue tracking and escalation.
- Excellent time management and issue follow-up skills Strong problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to perform in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with good work ethics.
Senior NOC Engineer Preferred
- CCNA/CCNP certification - preferred but not required
- Cellular Technologies
- Aruba Wireless AP’s
- Prior Help Desk Experience
Other:
- Local Candidates only
- Hybrid work schedule would include 3 days onsite / week
- Must be available to handle on-call duties when required

Disclosure: The hourly pay range for this position is $40.00 to $51.00/hr. (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
