- Operate various types of formulating equipment.
- Perform routine and non-routine operations safely and efficiently.
- Anticipate potential problems, troubleshoot equipment, solve problems
- Effectively use safety equipment such as respirators and protective clothing.
- Follow operator standard work to keep processes on takt time.
- Provide feedback and corrective actions when processes during the shift do not meet takt time.
- Perform routine and non-routine operations safely and efficiently.
- Anticipate potential problems, troubleshoot equipment, and solve problems.
- Operate forklift and perform some manual labor.
- Work overtime and rotating shifts as required.
- Generate and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain and improve safety, environmental and housekeeping standards.
- Work within site policies & procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Work with precise limits and standards of accuracy.
- Adapt to changes, new equipment, and new procedures.
- Participates in unit policies and procedures audits.
- Production processes maintain at least 95% OEE.
- Participates in near miss / incident reporting and 5WHY / incident investigations.
- Lean idea generation and Ruby observations are completed to promote continuous improvement in the formulation units.
- Follows and completes operator standard work for the formulation processes.
- Routinely audits / provides recommendations for updates to operator standard work for production processes.
- Leads waste stream processes in production area, includes wastewater (treatable / zero discharge), operating compactors (contaminated / recycler), drum crushing and monitoring contaminated roll-off containers.
- Prior formulation, packaging or quality control experience desired.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in current role that has directly impacted unit performance in safety, quality and efficiency.
- Extensive experience in IFSC is preferred.
- Minimal travel requirements.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to wear the required PPE.
- This is a tobacco free campus to include parking areas and personal vehicles.
