What are the responsibilities and job description for the Content Strategist position at Syntax Systems Ltd.?
The Content Strategist, Global Performance Marketing role reports to the Director, Global Performance Marketing, with responsibility for developing, planning, and implementing the company’s overall content strategy. Working closely with product marketing and campaign managers, you will manage the creation and production of marketing content both online and off-line. You have a strong understanding of the marketing funnel, SEO and how content, particularly digital content and customer case studies, can be used to progress users through the buyer journey. You’ll create content standards to be used internally and by agencies alike. You’ll play a key role in the promotion of content, including managing the social editorial calendar. Importantly, you’ll be responsible for content performance using engagement metrics to hone and optimize content creation and promotion activities. You’ll also work across regions to understand and deliver content translation and versioning requirements for core assets.
Our ideal candidate is a collaborative, creative marketing professional, preferably with a writing background that has had years of experience in global B2B technology companies. You live for developing engaging modern content to attract and retain customers and have experience in working with agency partners for co-creation. It’s also essential to be up to date with new marketing technologies (eg SEO tools) and trends.
Ultimately, you should be able to expand our company’s digital footprint and brand awareness, and help drive marketing funnel KPIs (web visits, leads, etc) as well as case study targets. You are comfortable with technical topics around ERPs, Cloud, Security, Managed Services, Data Analytics and more.
Responsibilities:
- Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
- Ability to assess existing content and identify content needs and gaps
- Collaborate with design and writing teams, as well as agencies, to produce high quality, engaging content
- Develop editorial calendar, delegate tasks and ensure deadlines are met
- Create and publish engaging content
- Edit, proofread and improve content (eg writer’s posts); Liaise with content writers and subject matter experts to ensure brand consistency
- Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics insights in collaboration with the product marketing team
- Analyze web traffic metrics- Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
- Ensure legal compliance (e.g. copyright and data protection) across Syntax branded and strategic partner brand usage guidelines (e.g. SAP, AWS, Oracle & Microsoft)
