Responsibilities :

• Learn to perform required inspections and preventive maintenance under the guidance of a Fleet Technician Journeyman, Fleet Technician, or Fleet Manager on vehicles and equipment (Tractors, Trailers, Convertor Dollies, Lift Gates, Light Duty Vehicles) to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet to include, but not limited to FAI / CVI (Annual) Inspections
• Learn to perform maintenance repairs on all vehicles under the guidance of a Fleet Technician Journeyman, Fleet Technician, or Fleet Manager such as inspections, scheduled repairs, malfunctions, and road-call repairs in a safe, efficient, and quality manner including, but not limited to Addressing all Driver VIR write-ups promptly, Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to Engines, Transmissions, Fuel & Ignition Systems, Exhaust Systems (including Regen), Intake Systems, Brake Systems, HVAC Systems, Lift Gate Hydraulic, Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
• Document all work performed on Work Order (SAP) using Complaint, Cause, and Correction Format
• Learn & develop efficiency in all Maintenance Relates Sysco Computer programs

Preferred Skills :

• Current and Valid Drivers License, CDL-A Preferred
• Basic knowledge of all vehicle systems and Components
• Basic knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on all equipment
• Basic knowledge and skill in welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG)
• Physical demands may require you to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and crawl
• Must be able to use close & distant vision, see color, use peripheral vision & depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus

Qualifications :

• Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred, Not Required)
• 2 years of Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training
• The employee is occasionally required to lift and / or move up to 100 lbs
