The Clinical Product Analyst position has the objective of analyzing requirements and identifying, defining, and writing requirements definitions as it pertains to clinical standards, safety and risk considerations, and best practices.
This position will provide expert knowledge around clinical workflows and user considerations that need be addressed during the requirements definition process.
This position plays a key role in interacting with the Product Development team and clinical resources. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
The Clinical Product Analyst is responsible for providing clinical analytical support to the Product Development team.
This position will participate in product acceptability per testing guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Represents the nursing experience in the development of new functionality.
- Stays up to date and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of applicable Federal regulations, good clinical practices, and industry standards in regard to the perinatal market and healthcare as it relates to IT/Clinical.
- Develops a clear understanding of the market, based on customer interaction during requirements gathering, prototype evaluations, control release, and formal market research.
- Suggests improvements of modifications to existing products.
- Serves as product expert, understands user workflow, and works with Product Development to deliver solutions to meet end user needs.
- Analyzes and validate requirements through various techniques such as business rules definition, use cases, prototyping, etc.
- Supports and critiques user interface design.
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves product issues, documents, and submits according to the Product Development process.
- Works closely with the Business Analyst to document requirements as it relates to clinical definitions, business logic, and user workflow.
- Updates and maintains required documentation during the project life cycle.
- Conducts workflow analysis and consults on workflow changes that need to occur with the implementation of new functionality and solutions.
- Validates and verifies application functionality.
- Conducts user acceptance test and overall system testing of the product.
- Creates and maintains clinical test scenarios as appropriate for new product requirements.
- Collaborates with Learning Management to create Online Learning Modules
- Assists in regression testing as needed.
- Participates in the Controlled Release Process as the Clinical Lead.
- Provides knowledge transfers/demos to customer and clinical support teams.
- Provides clinical expertise on current and future OBIX integration with EHR vendors.
- Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, in a clinical discipline.
- 5 years of Clinical experience in a hospital, L&D, or OB.
- Nursing experience is a must.
- OBIX perinatal data system experience is a plus.
- Experience with various Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
- Knowledge of Visio project is a plus.
