System One is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Raymond, MS.
Overview: The Industrial Engineer supports assembly operations through workflow analysis, plant layout optimization, process improvement, and cost estimating.
Responsibilities:
Improve product flow using Kaizen events, plant rearrangement, assembly cell design, etc.
Generate cost estimates for new product development
Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process optimization and labor efficiency improvements.
Implement 5S methodology to organize workspaces and improve visual management, resulting in a safer and more efficient work environment.
Participate and lead continuous improvement projects to reduce setup times, improve equipment utilization, and enhance overall operational performance.
Other assignments as deemed appropriate by management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering required
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with AutoCAD 2D drafting
Experience with plant layout and product flow analysis
Experience with line balancing
Experience with one-piece flow assembly line design
