What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Project Engineer position at System One?
SUMMARY
- Review project scope with Sales/Engineering department
- Solicit and review offers from vendors/subcontractors
- Assist with the approval of drawings
- Place, expedite, and QC orders with vendors
- Manage project throughout the project lifecycle from conception through to shipment
- QC project in shop including pre-shipment testing (FAT)
- Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met
- Maintain required project documentation
- Work with customer, sales, accounting, shop, and engineering departments
- Generate Operation and Maintenance Manuals for customer and company
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline required
- 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, industrial machinery, or other closely related fields
- Prior experience managing multiple projects from conception through completion
- Proficiency with AutoCAD required; SolidWorks is a plus
