Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and consumables.
- Optimize laboratory organization through 5S methodology.
- Ensure facilities and equipment are in optimal and proper working condition.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance and equipment repairs as needed.
- Responsible for Freezer alarms, audits, and inventories.
- Order supplies/equipment as authorized or ensure that needs are escalated appropriately.
- Interacts with shipping to receives orders, confirm receipt, unpacking, etc.
- Streamlines waste disposal and recycling processes within the laboratory.
Requirements
- As a laboratory coordinator, the ideal candidate would be familiar with general laboratory practice and safety.
- Primary responsibilities involve general upkeep of a diverse and active laboratory.
- The role requires a solid level of communication as the individual must maintain timely communication with a variety of internal/external parties.
- The ability to organize and enable efficient utilization of the laboratory for a rapidly moving team is the goal of this role.
