System One is looking for a 1st Shift Repair Technician II in Orlando, FL
Position Summary:
Electronics Repair Technician II is responsible for all levels of electronic maintenance, test, repairs, services, and modifications of electronic equipment in accordance with FAA regulations.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility:
Troubleshoots and repairs electronic equipment to component level in accordance with FAA regulations and company IPM (Inspections Procedures Manual).
Modifies equipment according to service bulletin and/or manufacturer documentation.
Carries out prescribed procedures according to an established schedule.
Receives training in the use of more specialized test instruments and learns advanced troubleshooting procedures.
Follows specific layout and schematic diagrams to repair and maintain simple or advanced devices or subunits of equipment and schematic diagrams such as power supplies, oscillators, amplifiers, etc.
Reviews work orders to ensure customer requested activities have been complied with, prior to release of the repair.
Work is reviewed by lead technician, supervisors, and/or inspectors.
May work on alternative assignments with detailed written or oral instructions.
Completes quality and repair paperwork, prepares estimates, and maintains maintenance documentation in accordance with current quality assurance requirements.
Communicates with cross-functional departments as required to support repair process.
Participates in Technician cross-training programs and may be assigned to other teams for short or long-term assignments.
Completes repairs in accordance with company ISO procedures and within company objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
Capable of working flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be flexible and willing to work any area in Repair or Production, as necessary.
Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Thales culture and values.
Must be well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets insurance standards.
Must pass a 7-year background check and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior military or commercial avionics level 3 component repair experience preferred.
FAA Repair Certificate a plus.
Able to meticulously document incoming product condition and maintenance activities.
Physical Demands:
Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and/or up to twenty (20) pounds frequently. (Medium)
Hand/finger fine motor skills and dexterity required to handle small parts and to operate hand tools. (Frequent)
Special Position Requirements:
Requires rotation between all shifts as well as weekend and holiday work.
Position often requires the ability to work overtime and flexible schedules.
Repair Station environment may present elevated noise levels.
Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally.
