System One is actively seeking a
Technician 3 in
Warminster PA
Electronic, Pneumatic & Element Repair
Hours are 7am-3:30pm.
$22 per hour.
Primary Function:
Assigns work to, guides, trains and performs duties of Electronic Repair Technicians, Instrument Repair Person, Electro-Pneumatic Receiver Repair Person, and Temperature Pressure Repair Person. Executes troubleshooting, repair (Mass Flow Instruments, electro-magnetics, and recording/controlling instruments along with others), restoration, conversion, and updating of customer-owned instruments of Client's Instrumentation manufacture, and those manufactured by others.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assigns and moderates workload, guiding and instructing others as required to perform their job functions.
2. Receives information from others regarding the suspected failure of customer owned equipment, as part of the repair return from the customer. Independently initiates corrective action, referring only unusual problems or priority conflicts to supervisor. Independently educates self and others on new product lines.
3. Suggests methods and procedures to promote the orderly and efficient operation of repair and test functions and facilities. This includes administrative portion of repair function.
4. As assigned, confers directly with customers, Client's customer service and field service personnel, discussing technical problems and advising them of action required for solution.
5. Conducts failure cause studies, assisting quality engineer in determining validity of customer warranty claims.
6. Maintains records of repair exchange program stock. Recommends stocking quantities of repair exchange parts for replacement orders.
7. Maintains department test rigs and tools, arranging for repair and advising supervisor of need for replacement or additions.
8. Generates and implements suggestions from others (customers, technicians) in the efficient operation of the repair, both technically and administratively.
9. Performs miscellaneous duties as needed within scope of job know-how.
10. Shares this knowledge with others.
Knowledge and Experience
Job requires technical schooling, working knowledge, and experience with solid state electronics and SMT components, multi-layer circuit board technology , mass flow instrument technology; analog and digital circuitry, wiring, and assembly drawings, bills of materials, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and calibrating customer owned instruments using a variety of precision electronic test equipment. Must be familiar with VIMS. Job also requires the ability to solve problems by collecting data and analyzation. Refers manufacturing problems to QC engineering. Job requires the ability to work independently, instructing and guiding others. Job requires independent study to keep abreast of new developments in the electronic and pneumatic instrument field, as well as maintaining knowledge and skills relevant to older equipment and department procedures. Must be able to communicate with customers, both internal and external, in a competent and courteous manner.
