S3, Inc. has an immediate requirement for a FMS Quality Engineer/Analyst to support the STORM PO on Redstone Arsenal, AL
Position Description:
The FMS Quality Engineer/Analyst will provide technical support to the Product Assurance Organization of the Engineering Directorate of an Army Project Office involved in the development and production of missiles and launchers in support of FMS customer activities. Provides subject-matter expertise in Quality Engineering to include AS 9100/ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems. Provides support to weekly contractor government telecoms and government telecoms and reports back to the team lead with program impacts and action items.
Responsibilities:
- Generate various metrics, reports, and documentation that are used by the government Project Office in developing analysis on contractor performance and the overall quality management systems.
- Provide support for the development and review of Quality Assurance Program Plans manuals, and procedures at contractor and government facilities.
- Support and conduct IPTs, Facility certifications and validations, production process baseline evaluations and audits, first-article inspections, proof and verification validation testing, Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), and Product Acceptance Testing.
- Support Production Line Validations (PLVs) at Prime contractor and subcontractor facilities across the US and OCONUS in support of FMS customer activities.
- Witness and monitor contractor production line start-ups, production activities, process changes and verifications, first article inspection and testing, inspection reviews, product manufacturing build instructions, contractor material deficiency identification, disposition, and follow-up corrective action requests in support of FMS customer activities.
- Provide technical expertise in evaluations of drawings, ECPs, waivers/deviations, and product specification requirements.
- Support failure review boards.
- Review contract data deliverables for qualification test plans and reports, validation test plans and reports, as well as failure investigation reports in support of FMS customer activities.
Experience/Skills Required:
- HS diploma and 14 years of experience; a Bachelors and 10 years; or an Associate degree and 12 years of experience.
- Secret or higher DoD security clearance or ability to obtain a clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
- 5 years or more experience dealing with weapon system product assurance and quality efforts in a project office or industry production facility.
- 3 or more years of experience with the development and integration of Pilot Production lines or facilities and the related quality processes and procedures.
- 3 or more years of experience coordinating between functional areas or organizations to address quality issues and plans of action.
- 3 or more years of experience coordinating within a government agency in the area of Foreign Military Sales.
- 3 or more years of experience working in an integrated product team addressing production and quality-related supporting elements.
- 3 or more years of experience providing or briefing leadership with the status of the program and associated actions and accomplishments.
