- Demonstrated leadership ability in leading teams of stakeholders, business analysts, developers, etc.
- Current PMP, CSPO or PSPO certification
- Experience working with public agencies
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Requirement Description: The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead the delivery and implementation of a software application upgrade, coordinating the project activities according to the vendor’s statement of work. Working with internal and external teams, the Project Manager must ensure that the project is completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements.
The Project Manager must have extensive experience in successfully executing large-scale application development initiatives. The highly effective Lead Project Manager is a strategic business partner, is fully vested in the project success, can work with ambiguity, and respects and motivates stakeholders and team members. Main responsibilities:
1. Manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities with the third-party vendor for the complete lifecycle of the project, including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of the business solutions designed to meet requirements of the business users and stakeholders.
2. Coordinates the project plan to define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
3. Develop estimates for enhancement or new development efforts in planning, analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
4. Identify, manage, and report program risk, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities • Provide accountability for the entire project scope, resources, and success or failure of the project.
• Develop a project plan to incorporate scope and requirements, time, quality, communications, and risk management.
• Organize, manage, and direct project team tasks and assure the proper application of project management standards, tools, and methodologies in project work.
• Build and maintain relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, customer representatives and vendor software / hardware suppliers.
• Work collaboratively with an internal team of developers/SMEs and business stakeholders to effectively transform business requirements into traceable and testable user stories.
• Continuously monitor and control the project work and manage change through an effective change control process.
• Identify risk that may affect the project scope or timeline and develop effective mitigation plans.
