CACI's Mastodon Design team in Rochester, NY specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems. Successful candidates must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
We are currently seeking a Systems Architect Engineer to derive requirements from customer, sales and PLMs use cases and work with subcontractors and Mastodon engineers to ensure project executions meet the customer needs within the cost and schedule of the project. Ideal candidates will have a BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Successful candidates will need experience in the following areas:
- Define key capabilities and performance requirements for systems or products
- Develop subcontractor technical SoWs
- Develop engineering requirements from a Product Description Document
- Provide technical oversight of a subcontractor’s engineering team
- Develop basis of estimates on a proposal
- Track cost and schedule performance against original budget
- Provide technical oversight across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure all teams understand the project goals
