What You’ll Get to Do:
The organization office is responsible for providing our mission partners with the best of government and commercial hybrid cloud solutions. The organization requires the development and administration of an Enterprise Linux Operating System. The organization requires Linux to help develop and support the organization’s managed Linux platform. The Linux baseline is deployed to more than 10,000 servers and is used by software developers across the Sponsor’s IT infrastructure, as the foundation for their development work.
More About the Role:
The Contractor shall provide engineering and administration support to the Sponsor’s existing Enterprise Linux Baseline (CLSE) on multiple Sponsor networks. The Contractor shall provide engineering and administration to the Sponsor’s existing CLSE baseline on multiple Sponsor infrastructures such as Physical Servers, Virtual Servers, and multiple Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). The Contractor shall provide software integration support to the Sponsor’s existing CLSE baseline on multiple Sponsor networks. The Contractor shall provide software integration support to the Sponsor’s existing CLSE baseline on multiple Sponsor infrastructures such as Physical Servers, Virtual Servers, and multiple CSPs. The Contractor shall provide development and engineering support for the creation of new versions of the Sponsor’s CLSE baseline on all Sponsor networks and infrastructures. The Contractor shall support scripting, configuration changes and tool set integration on Sponsor networks and infrastructures. The Contractor shall provide development and engineering support to the Sponsor’s Container Services on Sponsor networks and infrastructures.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience using Linux including Red Hat and its derivatives.
Demonstrated experience shell scripting and manipulating the Linux command line.
Demonstrated experience providing engineering infrastructure support.
Demonstrated experience providing Linux administration support.
Demonstrated experience with information security.
Demonstrated experience implementing Linux security tools.
Demonstrated experience integrating new capabilities into a software baseline.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Demonstrated experience with Sponsor-specific implementation of Linux (CLSE).
Demonstrated experience with Puppet and Foreman.
Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s specific software development practices.
Demonstrated experience with ICD 503 security requirements.
Demonstrated experience with network layer technologies including server load balancing and firewalls.
Demonstrated experience with Cloud technologies to include AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, or IBM.
