What are the responsibilities and job description for the SharePoint Developer position at T and T Consulting Services Inc?
Project Overview:
The scope of work entails sustaining the existing Defense Health Agency (DHA) Defense Medical Accession Computing System (DMACS), environment, and capabilities, including implementing improvements to functionality, fortifying cybersecurity, addressing user tickets, and supporting activities to transition the capability to a new technology solution. The current system consists of a SharePoint 2016 Intranet portal to process the workflows associated with medically qualifying applicants and a public Internet website with data for communicating with external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide software maintenance in support of DMACS databases/applications/websites, including software development to address production incidents, user change requests, and other opportunities to improve the system to support users
- Develop applications in SharePoint 2016
- Provide application and system updates to maintain and improve the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the deployed system
- Provide programming and technical support as needed to related web deployments addressing technical and programming issues relating to web and databases interaction
- Resolve Tier III trouble tickets using the Incident Management Tool (MHS Service Helpdesk) to enter work, record status updates, and resolve application and system incidents
- Support COTS SW version upgrades and deployments including SharePoint sites
- Research, test, and apply Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts and SharePoint patches as they become available using accepted business processes
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI)
- Experience in developing applications with .Net and Model-View-Controller (MVC) software design pattern
- Understanding of Agile Methodologies
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience at Defense Health Agency or DoD
Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Two (2) years’ or more experience in SharePoint 2016 development
Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security
