What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Inspector (QA Inspector) position at T & L Automatics, Inc.?
Summary:
The 100% Inspector is responsible for ensuring the customers receive defect-free parts from 100% inspection. Position is second shift M-T 5:00pm-3:30am, benefits offered.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Inspect/sort parts needed for shipment;
· Follow and maintain the daily shipment quantities needed for shipment;
· Notify the Supervisor when a quality problem occurs or required quantities cannot be achieved;
· Keep audit log up to date and accurate;
· Assure product is properly identified and organized at all times;
· Assist others as needed to ensure customers receive parts on time;
· Verify or sort discrepant product to make it available for shipment;
· Maintains a safe and clean work environment;
· Maintains an active role in quality, production, and engineering as directed by the manager;
· Adheres to all T&L policies and procedures as they relate to this position;
· Performs any assignment and fulfills areas of responsibility as directed by the manager;
· Has the responsibility and authority to stop a process which is, or is in suspect of, producing non-conforming product;
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
· Frequent grasping to pick up and inspect parts;
· Visual acuity to visually inspect parts;
· Pulling/lifting up to 25lbsinfrequently;
· Prolonged periods of sitting/standing
· Use of protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience preferred, but no required.
- Basic Math Skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- Can Use Calipers/Micrometers preferred but will train
- Documentation skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Read prints not required can train
- Use Comparator not required can train
- Attention to detail and good visual skills are a must
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
