What are the responsibilities and job description for the Proposal Manager position at T&M Associates?
T&M Associates currently has an opening for a Proposal Manager for our Corporate Division, based out of our Middletown, NJ office. The Proposal Manager should be a detail oriented, skilled communications professional possessing a range of editorial skills from copyediting and line-editing, to developing new material, as well as basic design skills. This candidate will be responsible for managing, leading and supporting the full proposal development life cycle. The qualified candidate should have experience within the architectural, environmental, engineering and/or construction industries and a solid understanding of marketing principles, be analytical, and have experience producing large agency and/or municipal/county/private client proposals. Must possess the ability to lead and manage a proposal pursuit team successfully and enforce schedules and deadlines. The Proposal Manager will also assist with the updating of prequalifications with state agencies including the DPMC, NJDOT, NJEDA, etc. and help to keep standard marketing materials such as resumes and project profiles up to date. Finally, the Proposal Manager will help in the utilization of T&M’s CRM system (Deltek Vantagepoint).
It's also important to have these other qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of proposal coordination or management experience is required. Experience in the A/E/C industry is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite Products is required.
- Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint a plus.
- Must be organized, detail oriented and able to professionally interact with technical professionals at all levels of the organization.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
