What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Engineer 1 position at T&M Associates?
T&M Associates is currently seeking a Full Time Staff Engineer to fill a role in our Transportation Department in Middletown, NJ. Responsibilities will include providing engineering design and calculations in support of roadway, highway and bridge construction projects throughout New Jersey, under the direction of senior engineers and project managers. Specific tasks will include geometric layout, design and plan preparation using CAD, calculation of construction quantities and cost estimates, and writing of design reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in either Civil Engineering or related field is required.
- 1-3 years of related experience is preferred. Relevant internship experience can be substituted for experience.
- Engineer in Training certification is preferred with the goal to obtain a Professional Engineer’s License.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation is essential.
- Detail oriented with a strong command of design principles and the ability to develop accurate design calculations.
- Candidates must be adept at working collaboratively while building strong working
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills are required.
