Job Description and Responsibilities For: LTE Tech II
This position reports to the LTE Foreman. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits. The position is “Field-based”, therefore there is no specific work location. When not in the field, you will be considered “on rotation” and typically at home. Expect to be in multiple locations through the year.

LTE Tech II Job Description:
t3 Broadband offers wireless network operators a variety of services such as LTE Equipment Installation and LTE Commissioning, Civil Construction, Maintenance, and EF&I Services. As an LTE Tech II you will be expected to follow your Foreman and top hands lead on construction, installation, and maintenance of communication equipment.
General:
Show a consistent track of successful projects completed on-time and on-budget.
Pass pre-employment and random drug screens
Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT medical exam
3 to 5 years of climbing and tower work experience
Ability to work with a team(s) to perform a wide variety of technical telecommunications construction work
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs. minimum
Must be able to pull your own body weight, plus equipment weight, up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of time
Must be willing to work long and unpredictable hours (10-hour days are not unusual) and travel out-of-state as necessary
Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Technical reading aptitude
Ability to work with computers and/or mobile devices for submitting Daily Work Reports, Close-Out-Packages and/or Time Sheets. Possess basic computer skills (i.e., E-mail, Excel, Word)
Job Responsibilities Including, but not limited to:
Performing swaps of cellular and radio antenna, upgrade to fiber-optic cables, and increase site capacity
Understand and collect COP requirements including photos, forms, etc.
Competent in all aspects of line and antenna system installation, replacement, and maintenance
Knowledge of UMTS, 4G(LTE) and 5G
Trouble shoots Alarms / RSSI issues at sites using supplied sweep gear
Knowledge on the use of a protocol adapter to set RETS and capture the RET logs to submit with COP
RF jumper routing and using the proper hardware to secure to the tower.
Understanding of RFDS, Port Matrix, and CDs
Perform all civil work per plan on New Site
Proper use and working knowledge antenna alignment tool
Assemble jumper connectors to provide field custom RF jumpers and test using the Anritsu.
Climbing communications structures, to include guyed; self-supporting; monopoles; building/rooftops; grain silos; etc.
Ability to follow daily instructions and shift reports.
