TAARA, a 501(c)(3) in NJ is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team. The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the organization, assisting with administrative tasks, and contributing to the overall success of TAARA's mission, which is empowering survivors of sex trafficking while preventing future victims.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the executive team members as needed.
  • Manage office operations and respond to emails.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing meeting materials.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports.
  • Assist with grant research and grant application processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of TAARA.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be located in the New York/Northern New Jersey area for hybrid work arrangements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant - desired but optional.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector a plus.
  • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe In-Design.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
