What are the responsibilities and job description for the Blaster position at TAG Shelby?
Requirements:
- Responsible for steel grit blasting of all armor, steel, and aluminum
- Preventive maintenance of equipment
Training Requirements:
- General Safety
- Quality System Awareness
- Completion of annual pulmonary breathing test
Physical Demands:
- Extremely labor intensive, must be able to hold and stabilize media hose for long periods of time while blasting parts.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Bending, squatting, kneeling
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- Safety Glasses required while performing specific tasks.
- Hearing protection required in designated areas.
- Steel toe shoes required.
- Respirator half mask.
Work Environment:
- Work performed inside a booth in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemical and other elements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
