JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
Manages a single store’s operations with complete accountability for sales, customer service, profitability, and loss prevention. Communicates and enforces store goals and policies and ensures compliance with security, sales, and recordkeeping practices. Maintains accurate records of purchases, sales, and requisitions and reviews store reports to identify areas of waste. Monitors inventory levels. Oversees store housekeeping, maintenance, and repair.
Entry-level position typically requiring prior knowledge or experience.
Job Description:
Specific responsibilities include:
- Under direction of the Site Manager, provides training and oversight to site employees and provides general operational guidance; serves as role model to team members
- Understands the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely.
- Recruits, interviews, onboards, and trains new crew members.
- Provides exceptional customer service to those entering and leaving the site for a great customer experience
- Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by team members and customers
- Performs opening and closing procedures
- Conducts quarterly employee evaluations
- Assist the customer in selecting oil type and other services
- Maintain inventory through counting inventory and ordering product to stock inventory
- Performs Technician duties as needed to ensure quality and timely customer service
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
- Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation
Skills/Qualifications/Physical Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to bend or stand at least 80% of the time; must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit used to position self safely under cars
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
- Capable of working any day of the week including Sundays and work in hot/cold weather conditions
- Basic computer skills: ability to use a keyboard and a mouse to correctly collect and enter information into a point of sale system
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Where applicable: ability to obtain a state-issued inspector’s license is preferred
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks to accomplish goals
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
