Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager will have experience and in depth knowledge required to undertake interior renovation and ground up new construction projects in health care, retail, aviation commercial and residential environments. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the following items on assigned projects: budget development, estimating, resource allocation, information distribution, meeting facilitation and overall performance reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply standard project management techniques throughout the project lifecycle including analysis, design review, cost savings analysis, subcontractor review and selection, quality control, safety management as well as value measurement definition.
- Participate in analyst activities such as requirements analysis, resource identification, solution definition, white paper development, implementation/work plan development, design, system testing, training plans and rollout strategies.
- Manage day to day operational aspects of a project and scope and effectively minimizes exposure and risk.
- Meet all project deadlines.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Establish and execute effective and efficient communication which enable continuous exchange of project status, ideas and information, project developments among team members and executives.
- Provides leadership and guidance required to effectively define, plan and implement projects and if required revise the plans to meet the changing needs and requirements of the project.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining productive and cordial relationships with clients and team members, serving as a liaison between multiple parties and entities.
- Must be able to effectively manage problems that arise within the project team or issues with clients, and recommend mitigation strategies as needed to achieve the desired results.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, construction management, construction science, facilities planning and management, or architecture and five to nine years related experience. Prior construction estimating experience is a plus.
