Talascend is currently seeking a Production Associate for a long-term contract job opportunity with our Manufacturing client in Blue Earth, MN.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client needs an Associate for batch processing/blending food ingredients and cleaning the mixing machines. This Associate is responsible for lifting fifty pound sacks of food ingredients and measuring/mixing the contents consistent with instructions. This is an industrial environment, so it is usually loud and some areas are hot, while other are required to be cold (temperature). Successfully performing this role includes:
- Reading and following the raw material mixing instructions.
- Verifying the ingredients and cutting the ingredient bags open.
- Ensuring the mixture produced meets quality and food safety standards.
- Disassembling, cleaning and reassembling the mixing equipment.
- Notifying supervisor of unusual problems, delays, and/or safety issues.
- Report food safety problems.
- Participating in all company training for food/plant safety.
Everyone is expected to follow prescribed SOP’s, safety and sanitation rules, maintaining good housekeeping and following the company rules of conduct at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires frequent moving and constant exertion of heavy physical lifting. Candidates with prior experience working on their feet, performing heavy lifting as part of their role such as furniture movers, package handlers, construction, landscaping is desired.
- Must be able to stand to perform the work, climb stairs, and lift or move 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must adhere to all health and safety protocols and precautions.
- Conscientious with great attention to detail.
This role works second shift, 2:30 – 11:00 PM Mon-Fri. This position is eligible for paid overtime and benefits.
