Yard and Warehouse

We are seeking a talented full-time yard warehouse worker to join our team. Responsibilities include safely and efficiently load/unload customers' vehicles and incoming freight deliveries, handling lumber and building materials, picking orders, stocking & counting inventory, assisting with deliveries as needed. Building material knowledge, a plus, basic math skills required, must be able to complete forklift certification.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

•  Must be able to drive and operate a forklift safely
•  Accurately complete and sign tickets
•  Stock all materials when needed
•  Work effectively as a team
•  Communicate effectively via two-way radio
•  Learn and understand all products and their locations
•  Be courteous to customers
•  Bending, pushing, pulling items weighing up to 100 lbs.
•  Loading lumber, plywood & sheetrock into customer vehicles
•  Bunk orders consisting of various materials
•  Keep the yard and warehouse clean at all times
•  Stay busy at all times
•  Complete the daily forklift inspection sheet
•  Learn all processes and procedures dealing with changes and return ticket
•  Communicate effectively with co-workers
•  Load and unload customer vehicles by hand/forklift
•  Come to work on time and be dressed according to company policy
•  Timely completion of special projects

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND OTHER DETAILS:

•  Must be organized and detail-oriented with a strong will to meet deadlines and project goals. 
•  Must possess great interpersonal skills yet able to work alone
•  General computer skills are necessary with a background in Microsoft Programs
•  Ability and desire to learn internal company systems and software

HOURS AND SCHEDULE:

•  This is a full-time position typically 40 hours per week
