Overview:
Talcott Resolution is seeking an early-career professional to join their Communications team to support the ongoing growth of the company. This role will be engaged in creating and supporting the distribution of various communications across multiple channels, and will work closely with individuals on the team, as well as with colleagues across the company’s other functional areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
General communications:
- Provide writing and editorial assistance of internal and external content
- Partner with contact center to create content for customer eNewsletters
- Provide communications support for external communications
- Assist with daily social media and news alert scan
- Assist in management of Talcott’s social media

Assist in event management:
- Event coordination and logistics
- Communication and content support as needed for internal business customers
- Additional communications project support as needed
Intranet site:
- Shared responsibility for creating and publishing content
- Recommend improvements around content organization and site functionality
- Write and perform editorial review of intranet content across all pages content
Analytics:
- Assist with gathering data across various platforms including Talcott Today (intranet), LinkedIn, PoliteMail, MS Planner, and additional data as identified and needed
Ad Review:
- Submit communications materials for ad review approval as needed
- Lead ad review submissions for bi-annual performance and fund rate webpages
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field preferred
- Entry Level: 1 to 2 years of related experience
- Creativity in communications, strong writing skills (writing samples required)
- Ability to edit written materials leveraging strong grammar, punctuation, and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong verbal communications.
- Ability to drive tasks to completion by coordinating with colleagues across different functional areas.
- Experience with the Office 365 suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) as well as Zoom and SharePoint.
- Creative, flexible, energetic, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and enthusiastic.
- Willingness to dive in and do what needs to be done in a fast-paced work environment.
- Knowledge of graphic design and video editing is a plus.
