What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Setter position at Taldeco?
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate stamping presses to produce parts to customer specifications
- Weld and assemble tooling as required
- Use hand tools to make adjustments to tooling and dies
- Read and interpret blueprints, SolidWorks models, and other technical documents
- Fabricate and modify tooling as required
- Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading of dies from presses
- Perform quality control checks on parts produced, including visual inspection and measurement using basic math skills
- Package finished parts for shipment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in die setting or related field
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and SolidWorks models
- Proficient in the use of hand tools for making adjustments to tooling and dies
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as cranes, hoists, and forklifts
- Basic math skills for performing quality control checks on parts produced
- Ability to fabricate and modify tooling as required
