Our continued success relies on hiring extraordinary talent, with a passion for making a difference and eagerness to roll up the sleeves, to help us write the story of our next 100 years.   YOUR OPPORTUNITY: The Herff Jones Operations team, based in Champaign, IL is looking for an Inventory Control Processor to join our team.  The Inventory Control Processor is responsible for managing the daily inventory operations by effectively initiating and coordinating procedures and policies within our Cap and Gown facility. This role will require maintaining high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, support our inventory control processes and provide exceptional service to both our internal and external partners. If you have strong experience in warehouse and inventory control, we encourage you to apply.   Here's How You’ll Make an Impact: Reporting to the Inventory Control Lead, the Inventory Processor’s primary job function is to sort, count, and input inventory quantities into the Inventory Control System.   Verify inventory levels and locations. Material handler activities such as handling and putting away fabric Slot discrete locations. Perform cycle counts as needed. Remove obsolete items from stock and input into inventory accordingly. Additional tasks as necessary.   What You’ll Bring to the Table: High school diploma or equivalent required Equipment – Must have experience using computer-based inventory systems (computers, laptop, scanners, etc.) Communication - Must have good communication skills (verbal and written). Software - Experience using Microsoft suite required / Oracle or ERP experience a plus. Experience – Background in Inventory, Production/Material Control and/or Purchasing are helpful. Other – math, critical thinking skills, teamwork, and organization skills required.   Physical Activities: Daily activity includes but is not limited to: Lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting. Reading, communication, simple math. Standing on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour shift. Be able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
