Position Summary The Underwriting Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of one of the various Servicing departments. This position works collaboratively with business partners to drive improvement and performance within the Servicing division. The Underwriting Manager will routinely interact with colleagues across the organization to achieve quality and efficiency within the Servicing team.Manages supervisors and all operational activities for the assigned departments.Collaborates with management to identify risks and concerns within each department.Reports key data and metrics relating to delinquency, efficiency, charge off, decision turnaround time and other related metrics.Directs the hiring, training, and performance management for staff.Provides guidance, support and growth opportunities to staff; ensures departmental goals are being met along with developing the employees.Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across all servicing departments.Performs other duties assigned. Qualifications RequiredBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.5 to 7 years of Collection and/or Underwriting experience. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Working knowledge of financial services industry particularly in collections and/or call centers.Experience researching complex issues, analyzing data, and providing appropriate recommendations based on facts presented.Preferred3 to 5 years of management experience in Automotive Finance
