Job Description: Business Analyst / Product Manager (Magento-powered POS software)

Pay: Up to $65/hr.

Location: Plano, TX – Hybrid – 3 days per week remote.

Job Overview:

A large shipping company is seeking a Business Analyst / Product Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This role will primarily focus on supporting our point-of-sale (POS) Magento-powered software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business analysis and product management skills, facilitating effective communication between stakeholders and offshore development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with local and offshore teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and manage expectations.
• Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment of business goals with development efforts.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure quality assurance processes align with project objectives.
• Provide product support and address operational queries related to POS functionalities.
• Perform on-site visits to various stores as needed to validate system capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in a mid to senior level business analyst or product owner role.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems, particularly in retail environments.
• Familiarity with Magento or similar e-commerce platforms is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage requirements development, system testing, and stakeholder consultations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to represent the team professionally in both written and verbal interactions.

• Capability to manage stakeholder meetings and project updates via video conferencing tools.
• Contract-based employment, with potential for extension based on project needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with partial onsite presence in Plano, TX.

• Prior experience in custom manufacturing environments or managing mixed product catalogs is beneficial.
• Understanding of multi-site networking implementations in retail settings.
