What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Manager position at Talent Strategy?
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement key concepts of safety to provide the road map to zero injuries and world class safety performance
• Implement environmental management systems and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations
• Provide awareness, track progress, and drive results against sustainability goals
• Promote plant safety
• Train managers and employees in work site safety and environmental practices
• Manages all aspects of environmental, health, safety, and sustainability development programs
• Ensures submittal of all required OSHA compliance documentation & OSHA compliance standards throughout the facility
• Guides and directs plant towards compliance of State, Federal, and local safety environmental regulations
• Assist in incident investigations
• Directs environmental compliance and performance functions in accordance with regulations and corporate company policies
• Ensures timely submittal of all regulatory documents policies
• Administer First Responder & CPR training courses
• Participate in and provide information for all ISO audits
• Facilitate Safety Committees
• Backup Chemical Tech when necessary
• Maintain SDS database
• Maintain & Oversee DOT & FMCSA compliance for commercial fleet
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience administering Environmental Health and Safety programs in a manufacturing environment
• Good communication skills
• Experience in MS Office Suite
• Ability to become RCRA Certified upon hire
• Ability to cross over all shifts to conduct training, investigations, etc.
• Ability to pass all internal IIS training (crane, forklift, lockout tagout)
