Pay Range: $18
Shift: 2nd - Will train on 1st for up to two weeks and then will move to 2nd
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Saw Operator to join our team. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the band saw equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will play a key role in cutting, shaping, and finishing various materials according to specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of productivity.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate band saw equipment to cut and shape wood trusses
2. Review work orders and blueprints to determine the required specifications for each project.
3. Set up and adjust the band saw blade, guides, and feed rate according to the material being cut.
4. Monitor the saw operation to ensure the machine is running smoothly and efficiently.
5. Inspect finished products to verify accuracy, quality, and integrity, making adjustments as necessary.
6. Perform routine maintenance tasks on the saw, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the operation of the band saw.
8. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
9. Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and meet production deadlines.
10. Maintain accurate records of materials used, production output, and any maintenance or repair activities.
