Job Description: Loan Servicing and Tax Department Clerical Specialist
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Loan Servicing and Clerical Specialist. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for processing property tax checks, ensuring accuracy, matching bills to checks, and coordinating their delivery through USPS or FedEx. Additionally, you will support a range of loan servicing tasks, including reviewing loan disbursement requests, processing disbursements, preparing loan demands, and re-conveyances. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of prior loan servicing experience or equivalent knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Process property tax checks by confirming accuracy, matching bills to checks, and preparing packages for delivery via USPS or FedEx.
Assist in various clerical duties to ensure efficient operation of the Loan Servicing department.
Review loan disbursement requests, process disbursements, and prepare loan demands and re-conveyances.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within established loan servicing procedures.
Perform routine tasks related to loan servicing, including reviewing, researching, and processing.
Respond to written and phone inquiries of low to moderate complexity from customers, title companies, vendors, and internal personnel regarding loans and various aspects of loan servicing.
Collaborate with Loan Servicing supervisors and escalate customer questions and issues to more experienced team members.
Work closely with the immediate Loan Servicing team and internal/external customers to handle loan applications, processes, documentations, claim insurance handling, and other loan servicing tasks.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 6 months of prior experience in Loan Servicing or an equivalent field.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing tasks.
Proficiency in utilizing computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
Capability to collaborate within a team and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive customer information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with loan servicing software and systems.
Previous experience in property tax processing and coordination.
