The ERP Systems Analyst role is to manage master databases across the organization while ensuring high levels of data quality. The ERP Systems Analyst is responsible for executing Engineering data changes into the Company’s ERP BPCS/LX system in the appropriate master files, including item masters, bill of materials and routings.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Confer with data processing and project managers to obtain information on limitations and capabilities of existing system and capabilities required for data processing projects and projected workload.
- Evaluates factors such as number of departments serviced by data processing equipment, reporting formats required, volume of transactions, time requirements and cost constraints, and need for security and access restrictions to determine hardware configurations.
- Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan layout for type of computers and peripheral equipment, or modifications to existing equipment and system that will provide capability for proposed project or workload, efficient operation, and effective use of allotted space.
- Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems. Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct problems. Individual coordinates activities with help desk, network services, or other information systems groups. Provides guidance to PC Administrators.
- Monitors functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
- Administer and validate ECN process.
- Responsible for control and assignment of all item numbers including components, intermediate assemblies including inspection and test activities and final products.
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOM) including routings and alternate routings thereby providing for variations in raw materials and manufacturing processes, for the proposed product including raw materials, purchased components, processed media, work in process (sub-assemblies), inspection and test stages, and packaging based on Engineering input.
- Assist cost Accountant in analyzing standard cost rollups. Ensure standards are accurate and updated.
- Coordinate and execute program testing for manufacturing modules in BPCS as part of the MIS release to production process. Solicit user input and approval.
- Assures standard cost data for resin, raw screen, purchased components, and packaging are entered.
- Coordinate data collection, error proof and maintain all sales forecasting data used in Baseline Sales reports.
- Control and process Engineering change notices (ECN’s). Before implementing Engineering changes, consider effects on production status, inventories, customer orders, customer approval of changes, and effects of change on product performance. Verify that customer approval is obtained when the customer requires such approval.
- Recommends, plans, and implements IT Projects.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university plus two years’ experience; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Personal computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI and ERP BPCS / LX with manufacturing software packages.
- Knowledge of ERP application life cycle.
- Knowledge of business processes and ERP functions.
- Understanding of manufacturing routings, time studies and rates as they pertain to manufacturing processes helpful. Ability to read blueprints necessary. Ability to read customer and ITW specifications and breakout requirements helpful. Familiarity with plastic injection molding process and vocabulary helpful. Knowledge of cost accounting concepts helpful.
- Knowledge of basic material properties and applications suitability helpful.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
