IT Project Manager

IT Project Manager-
Eden Prairie, MN or Remote
11 Months Contract

Projects the candidate will be working on:

• Telecom projects relating to the upgrade and replacement of telecom equipment at company sites.
• Candidate may also assist in project management activities for other End User Technology projects

Ideal Background:

• Experience as an IT project manager in a larger organization would be ideal along with experience with telecom implementation projects.

Experience:

• A preferred candidate will have experience working in a project management role supporting telecom implementation projects.
• Experience with telecom projects like telephone and telepresence replacements and upgrades

Top Requirements:

• Drive the implementation of telecom upgrades in the End User Technology space: Managing Scope, Schedule and Cost
• Manage and track the work done by external parties across the UHG sites
• Data Analysis to determine impacted sites, equipment required etc.

Team and Team size:

• 1 PM, external vendor resources along with a mix of staff from multiple teams and other contract resources.

Top Responsibilities:

• Drive the implementation of telecom upgrades in the End User Technology space: Managing Scope, Schedule, and Cost
• Use data, experience and client interactions to identify pain points, best practices and detailed recommendations
• Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes
• Identify resistance and performance gaps, work to develop and implement corrective actions
• Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan
• Create a technology adoption strategy to include calendar, agendas, target audience, content

Skills/Competencies:

• Strong working knowledge of IT software and hardware upgrade methodologies in the Telecom space
• Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
• Proven track record in adaptability, teamwork, problem solving, influence, planning, leadership and change management

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 7 years of professional IT experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in roles focused on any of the following: business analysis, change management, process management, systems/solution delivery
• 3 years of experience managing projects, from requirements gathering and analysis, through deployment and testing through to transition and training.
• Proven success supporting business change in mid-size and large organizations
• Experience managing teams, either directly or in a matrixed environment

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Experience:
