Reporting to the Head of Real Estate, you will be responsible for all aspects of retail and industrial leasing and acquisition, including broker relationships, site selection, lease negotiation, market analysis, and presentations to the leadership team. You will perform site selections and set up lease deals, negotiating terms and conditions, that set us up for long term success. You will develop a strong understanding of the business, the communities, and the market to acquire the best sites to fulfill the strategic plan.

What you will do
- Plan. You will assist in developing short- and long-term real estate strategies.
- Secure new locations. You will work directly with industry stakeholders to source retail and industrial sites in identified geographies to meet the initial and future needs of the company. You will review, manage and negotiate real estate contracts, including letters of intent, offers to lease, and lease agreements.
- Foster relationships. You will act as a point of contact, developing and maintaining relationships with internal customers, senior management, legal, tax, risk management, landlords, vendors, consultants, and outside brokers.
- Prepare financial and sensitivity analysis. You will develop business justification and recommendations for presentation to user groups and the executive management team for approval. You will review and provide progress updates on ongoing projects.
- Collaborate. You will provide support to all internal teams and oversee lease requirements such as project timelines and assist in the coordination of construction. You will pitch in where needed, thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, and pivot to respond to the needs of the team, the market, and the company.
What you bring:
- Real estate management experience. You have 3 years in retail or office real estate asset management or brokerage, including in-depth understanding of all facets of retail acquisition, leasing, subleasing and license agreements and administration, and interpreting and negotiating complex commercial leases, renewals and extensions. You have extensive skills in planning, tracking, evaluating and reporting on the performance of assigned long and short-term real estate assignments. You have excellent analytical skills with statistics or financial experience and exceptional communication skills.
