Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) Technicians who are proficient in AutoCAD. The CADD Technician is responsible for aiding with project setup and design support to the team for completion of projects. They must have a good understanding of architectural floor plans and AEC standards and the ability to create detailed floor plans from field drawings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use CADD tools to create and update digital floor plans of buildings from field data
- Accurately document space usage within buildings based on standardized criteria and attributes
- Utilize digital measuring devices and other field equipment to generate accurate floor plans
- Communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbally with team members, management, and customers
- Ability to drive to and from sites with a company supplied vehicle while abiding by all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain an elevated level of productivity
- Ensure detailed data quality standards are maintained
- Interact in a professional manner
Job Profile:
CAD Technician is an entry-level full-time position with career progression opportunities. The role is assigned to facility survey projects CONUS and OCONUS. The requirement to travel is possible. Travel assignments range from a week to several months depending on the size of the project.
Compensation:
A competitive hourly wage plus insurance and retirement benefits are available.
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Physically able to walk or stand for more than 6 hours per day
- Ability to travel up to 100% in each week/month
- Prior CADD experience
- Associates in related field
