Communications Manager Trade Association

A leading local membership association in the residential and commercial building and development industry is searching for a communications and membership management professional to provide consistent, meaningful communications materials to the public and membership to promote the organization's events and members to the public. Position reports to the Executive VP and will deliver quality client and member materials by enhancing the engagement between members and the public. Proactive communication and high touch service is critical for this customer service-oriented role. Competitive salary ($55k-65k based on experience) and employee benefits. Highlighted Duties:

• Create a comprehensive communications strategy for the organization 
• Manage, update and continuously improve organization's websites
• Manage organization's publications with third party vendors 
• Create member communications including newsletters and annual reports
• Creating consistent marketing and communications material for the organization's programs and events
• Investigate and implement new communications platforms such as mobile applications and text strategies
• Create and implement a consistent social media plan
• Create regular public facing communications regarding industry issues including editorial content and press releases
• Create meaningful membership programs that encourage recruitment, retention, and recognition
• Create recruitment programs and materials to encourage industry membership in the organization
• Implement and manage awards and recognition program
• Manage retention efforts by members and key staff

Highlighted Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5 years of related professional work experience
• Exceptional time management, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written, oral, listening, presentation, influence, and interpersonal skills 
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience using Constant Contact, Mail Chip, or other communication programs
• Proficient skills in Canva, Adobe, and other graphics software
• Must be able to work independently and with a team
