Talkiatry is seeking a Head of Performance Marketing to lead our in-house performance team and scale our digital advertising efforts to fulfill our mission of improving patient access to high-quality mental healthcare, nationally.
As part of a multicultural marketing team, you will be responsible for multiple areas, including developing a cross-channel paid advertising growth strategy, hiring and building the in-house paid ads team, guiding the team in launching and scaling paid channels, testing new channels, and being accountable for growth targets.
This role requires a balance of deep performance marketing expertise, tactical and strategic acuity, and strong people management skills. The team will look to you to provide leadership in aligning performance with brand and content while also helping define our ad creative strategy and voice.
These efforts will be critical to furthering Talkiatry’s mission of improving patient access to high-quality mental healthcare, nationally.
This role reports to the Head of Marketing.
You are:
- An expert in all performance marketing channels. While you may not be managing campaigns yourself, experience with media buying is a plus
- Experienced allocating and managing budgets across channels to hit growth targets and KPIs
- Familiar with the principles of SEO, keyword research, and content strategy
- An effective people manager experienced in managing and motivating direct reports and maximizing the output of agency resources
- An entrepreneurial and creative problem solver, able to deliver against growth goals
- Data-driven, detail-oriented, and experienced tracking against aggressive growth goals and KPIs
- Thoughtful about A/B testing, targeting, bid strategies, and creative
- Comfortable in a start-up environment, working directly with teams like Product, Design and Tech
- A collaborative, mindful and intentional manager and mentor
- An excellent communicator and stakeholder manager
- An advocate for diversity, racial equity, inclusion and accessibility
- Passionate about providing high quality, accessible and equitable healthcare
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of experience with performance marketing (Direct Response experience preferred), with 3 years in a cross-channel role and 5 years of leadership experience
- Sophisticated understanding of the ad-tech ecosystem (ad servers, DMPs, DSPs, etc.)
- Fluency in cross collaboration with functions like Content, Tech, Design and Growth
- Experience in a high growth startup, agency or corporate environment
- Experience managing multiple direct reports
- Experience in managing agency partners
- Multi-lingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, Vietnamese or French/French Creole a plus
