As a Sr Bilingual ROW professional at Tallgrass, you will be instrumental in helping Tallgrass grow internationally, specifically in Mexico.    Your skills in land services and knowledge of pipelines and facilities will ensure that global, regional and/or complex local land management services are delivered.  You will oversee operational activities with the end goal of delivering high quality compliant data and documents.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

In this role you will be expected to

  • Participate in, coordinate, and supervise:
    • The acquisition, maintenance, administration, and disposition of real property rights and interests, including easements, leasehold, fee interests, licenses, and permits. 
    • Land services in collaboration with other company disciplines e.g. Project Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Operations, etc. for existing assets and new construction.
    • Public meetings and/or community outreach
    • Land due diligence efforts
  • Support:
    • The construction, of company pipelines and facilities in gathering, transmission, processing, storage, carbon sequestration, water, and telecommunications activities.
    • Litigation as necessary                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
  •  Research, secure, and process:
    • Easements, leases, licenses, permits, fee interests, and other types of conveyances of property rights and interests.
    • Questions from federal, state, or local government agencies, landowners, other external stakeholders, and internal customers as needed.
  • Other duties:
    • Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct in all work activity and company matters of every kind
    • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
    • As assigned.

 

WHERE THE WORK IS DONE:

  • Office will be in Houston, Texas with up to 50% international travel during peak project time and to ensure milestones are met. 
  • Physical Demands are those of a project-based ROW professional.
  • Non-traditional hours may be necessary.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

You as a successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in either Business, Engineering or a related field or a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in land acquisition and management in the energy sector.  You will have a valid US drivers license and be able to pass a background check.   

You will also need:

  • Proficient comprehension of the Spanish language-oral and written
  • Knowledge of legal and engineering terminology, drawings, and maps.
  • Knowledge of applicable US federal, state, tribal, and local governmental laws and regulations relative to acquisition, maintenance, and management of property interests.
  • Knowledge of applicable company standards for title sufficiency documentation, common pipeline and facility construction, project accounting and tracking, typical pipeline operations & maintenance procedures concerning land, land activity status reporting, etc.


WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

You will make an impression if you have knowledge, training, or experience in:     

  • Pipeline & related facility regulatory permitting processes & requirements (e.g. FERC) 
  • Estimating land related costs
  • Providing direct supervision and management for complex linear infrastructure projects.
  • Land related regulatory requirements for interstate pipelines. 
  • Land related applications- i.e. Microsoft 365, Google Earth, WSRI, Quorum or Steelshire

Interpersonal skills:      The ability to communicate both written and oral, collaborate with team members both in and out of the organization (land contractors)

Agility:                          The ability to work on several projects and meet deadlines while being flexible to adapt to project changes.

Initiative:                       Proactively work within guidelines to meet deadlines and prioritize work.
