Assistant Brewer

The Brewer Position will assist the Head Brewer with all duties related to the production and dispensing of beer on premise. Brewers are responsible for upholding the highest quality of in-house product as well as providing knowledge and leadership with regards to our guest experience.

What we need from you:

· Prior brewing experience preferred but not required

· Completion or concurrent B.S. in a field of science preferred but not required

· Ability to move efficiently and safely through the brew house and restaurant

· Positive attitude that remains consistent in demanding situations

· Ability to stay mentally organized while multitasking

· Ability to utilize time efficiently

· Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures

Primary Responsibilities

  • Keg Cleaning
  • Crowler Filling
  • General Cleaning
  • Draft system cleaning and upkeep
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with guests and colleagues

Additional Responsibilities

  • Wort production (milling, mashing, spent-grain removal, boiling, transfer)
  • Vessel cleaning (CIPs on Mash, Wort Kettle, Fermentation Vessels, and Serving Vessels)
  • Beer transfers and filtration
  • Cellar work (dry-hopping, re-circs, prepping FVs with flavor additions)
  • Perform side work
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Head Brewer or General Manager

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
