- Follows detailed instructions from direct Supervisors and Plant Leadership.
- Through on the job training, learns the primary functions of various positions on the Production Lines, including:
- Performance of quality checks and diverts unsuitable material.
- Performance of safety equipment checks to ensure use of only safe equipment.
- Completion of necessary essential cleaning/maintenance activities as required on maintenance availability days.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of line shutdown and startup procedures.
- Performance of preventive maintenance duties/cleans equipment used in process.
- Operation of equipment for manufacturing, shipment and moving material as assigned.
- Performance of tablet functions on a forklift related to order entry, inventory management and raw material handling.
- Providing assistance with upset conditions on the Production Lines as required – Jams, tails etc.
- Conducting quality audits as necessary for the Production Lines.
- Conducting preventative maintenance/cleaning activities as required on maintenance availability days.
- Participates in the housekeeping requirements of the plant as needed.
- Responsible for waste removal and storage from the Production Lines.
- Works rotating shifts, days & nights, and overtime as needed.
- Learns and Executes the TAMKO Manufacturing Playbook.
- Strives to be a complete team player in the organization.
Position Requirements:
- Capable of adapting to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent schedule changes, operational changes, delays, or unexpected events.
- Education/Experience - Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; two to three years related experience and/or training required.
- Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to present effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- This job is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors, and airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat or cold, vibration and confined spaces. The employee is occasionally exposed to acidic or caustic chemicals. A respirator may be required at times.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to traverse both the production and office floors; remain in stationary positions while operating heavy equipment and/or office equipment; position self to inspect, operate, and maintain heavy equipment, which may include climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee must be able to wear required PPE; Steel Toe Boots, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, and job specific Hot Work PPE and Gloves
