Minimum Qualifications:
1. Associates degree or higher or years of equivalent experience in healthcare performing duties required in this job.
2. Two years of administrative or office management experience or healthcare organization.
3. Proficiency or knowledge of using a variety of computer software; MS excel, outlook, and word experience required.
4. Visio and project proficiency preferred.
5. Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements and State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of CFR – 42, Confidentiality and HIPAA Privacy Rule.
2. Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
3. Knowledge of office management techniques and practices.
4. Knowledge of research methods and procedures sufficient to compile data and prepare reports..
5 Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Skills:
1. Skill in taking and transcribing dictation and operating office equipment.
2. Skill in answering the phone and responding to questions.
3. Skill in time management, prioritization, and multitasking.
4. Skill in problem-solving.
5. Skill in writing and communicating effectively.

1. Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with private documents pertaining to patients and providers/staff.
