A healthcare network in New Jersey is currently seeking a new Paralegal for a promising opportunity with their Legal Department. In this role, the Paralegal will be responsible for working with the Legal Department, Associate General Counsel & Litigation Attorney concerning corporate / healthcare legal matters, litigation, researching law, investigating facts and preparing documents.
Responsibilities:The Paralegal will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the review, construction, revision and negotiation of Physician agreements
- Reviewing, revising, and/or drafting and negotiating Physician professional services agreements and Physician employment agreements on a timely basis so that physicians are able to begin providing services when scheduled
- Collection and organization of due diligence for Closings, Litigation and Financings
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 5 years of Legal / Paralegal experience or a Juris Doctorate
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Strong knowledge of Legal principles & practices, Legal Research techniques, Legal Terminology, and Legal Communication principles
- In depth knowledge of Local, State and Federal laws and regulations
- Solid analytical and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Paralegal certification
- Prior experience with a Hospital and/or Health System
- Experience with the following regulations: Stark Law; False Claims Act; and, Antikickback Statute
