Job Details
A professional services firm in New Jersey is looking to add a new Business Analyst to their growing team. Working alongside the Business Process Leads (BPLs) and IT Application Development teams, the Business Analyst will be responsible for translating business requirements and creating detailed functional specifications; assisting in the design of and supporting the implementation of software applications.
Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will:
- Collaborate with business process leads to gather the high-level business requirements, documenting the findings and decisions within acceptable standards and templates
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team on the configuration, development and implementation of various ServiceNow modules
- Analyze the impact to integration points and ensure that design can meet the need
- Perform requirements development, analysis, and create related documentation
- the detailed functional specifications document
- Translate requirements and work with IT on the development of implementation options to be then played back and serving as an interface to the business process leads
- Ensure traceability from business requirements through application testing
- Interface with the Testing team and help them to prepare for testing
- Review test cases, and test scripts developed by the Testing team, as well as perform spot checking to ensure functionality meets business requirements
- Work with the other members of the development, QA, testing and business teams to clarify requirements and application functionality
- Support and enable delivery of projects through completion
Qualifications:
- 4 years of hands on Business Analysis experience in a complex regulated environment
- Skillful in requirements elicitation, analysis, and management for medium to large initiatives while interacting with multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Proficient with industry-standard, structured business analysis techniques, and practices
- Familiarity with .NET, Web application framework
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Project, Visio, SharePoint/Teams, and Power Point
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
