Import Operation Supervisor

1. Team Management: Assist the Operation Manager in day-to-day Logistics operations to ensure customer requirements are met/exceeded, and collaborate regularly with the cross-functional team to improve the customer experience. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness.

2. Shipment Coordination: Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process for shipments.

3. Documentation Management: Ensure that all required shipping documentation, including arrival notices and bills of lading are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

4. Freight Release: Ensure payment and bill of lading received and coordinate freight release with freight cashier. Confirm terminal and carrier website shows customs and freight release.

5. Cargo Tracking: Monitor and track shipments in real-time to ensure timely movement, delivery, and empty return. Proactively address any potential delays or issues that may arise during transit.

6. Customer Communication: Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their shipments and address any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

7. Vendor Communication: Coordinate with carriers, truckers, origin agents, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information exchange throughout the import process. Address any issues or delays promptly to minimize disruptions to import operations.

8. Invoicing: Generate and issue invoices to customers. Verify that all invoices are accurate and include appropriate supporting documentation. Dispute with carrier if invoices are inaccurate.

9. Perform other tasks that contribute to the overall goals of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years’ experience in Ocean freight with an NVOCC/Freight Forwarder is required
• Experienced with GoFreight system is a plus
• Legal US working status
• Excellent written and verbal knowledge in English. Chinese (mandarin) is a plus.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
