Fullstack Software Engineer

Join a dynamic and evolving tech team as a Fullstack Developer, where you'll contribute to an expanding project that will grow and split into specialized pods by the end of the year. Initially focused on frontend development, the role will shift to a balanced 50/50 mix of frontend and backend tasks for the remainder of the year.

This team has offices in Menlo Park and San Francisco and works onsite 1 day weekly. Availability for this hybrid work schedule is required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a small, agile team to tackle technical debt and develop innovative solutions.
- Work on a mix of frontend (React-based frameworks) and backend (Node.js) tasks.
- Take ownership of new features and contribute to the development of cutting-edge products.
- Engage with a tech-savvy team passionate about creating energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.

Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development.
- Proficient in Java and React-based frontend frameworks.
- Experience or willingness to work with Node.js.
- Background in both small and large companies, with an understanding of efficient work environments and startup dynamics.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and proactive in a collaborative team setting.

Interview Process:
1. Initial Screening: Meet with the hiring manager or engineering lead for a preliminary discussion.
2. Technical Assessment: Complete a take-home test (3-4 hours of active work) with a focus on clean, efficient code and problem-solving skills. Share insights into your thought process and troubleshooting approach.
3. Q&A Session: Engage in a discussion with an engineer to explore your technical expertise further.
4. Final Round: Participate in an onsite interview with the hiring manager and QA team to finalize your fit for the role.
